According to H-E-B in a statement on the retailer’s website, they have searched the world for a selection of one-of-a-kind items to be Primo Picks, products that are cool, tasty and unique that people may not have tried before or even heard of. The supplies for some of the unique foods may be limited, so the retailer has also included some national brands as well as private labels.
Some of the selections include four Grain Vegetarian Brown Eggs that are produced by birds who are fed on a diet that’s 100% vegetarian, H-E-B MooTopia milk with 45 percent less sugar and 50 percent more protein than your ordinary milk, and Mahi Mahi burgers.
The retailer has been running TV campaigns to promote the Primo Picks program.
The H-E-B Grocery Company is better known as H-E-B, which stand for Howard Edward Butt – the son of the company’s founder. The slogan used at the chain of stores is ‘Here Everything’s Better.’ The chain of grocery stores was established in 1905 by Florence Butt, which was then taken over by her son after the First World War in 1919. The San Antonio, Texas-based retailer has its own private label brands of meals, bread, milk, ready-cooked meats, ice cream and snacks.
The retailer has 315 stores located in northern Mexico and Texas. H-E-B also runs Central Market, which retails organic, as well as fine foods. The Central Markets brand has its own brands, Central Market Naturals and Central Markets Organics that are found in about 8 locations.
