Passage Foods is an Australian company engaged in producing convenience meal solutions from different countries. The company’s main headquarters is in Victoria, Australia with an additional office in the Connecticut, US.
Passage Foods was created by Chef Chris Doutre in the early 1980s. Chef Doutre’s expertise was in North Indian cuisine and he started promoting it by putting up Indian restaurants in the country.
In 2002, Chef Doutre launched a line of original Indian curry sauces. Within months, these products gained popularity and were distributed in major stores, as well as independent stores, in Australia. Two years after, the company known as Flavour Makers Pty. Ltd. bought Chef Doutre’s business. This led the company to be named Passage Foods Pty. Ltd. In 2005, Passage to India was re-launched. Three years afterward, Passage to Thailand was launched.
