Annual cold-resistant plant. The leaves are dark green, delicate and fragrant. For a continuous supply of greenery, sow every 2-3 weeks. The leaves of young plants are used in cooking. Seeds are added as a spicy seasoning for flavouring bread, confectionery and marinades.

Coriander can be sown from late March until early September. It is best to sow coriander directly outside in well-prepared soil to not disturb the roots while transplanting. Pre-soak the seeds overnight for a better germination. Sow seeds thinly about ½ to 1-inch deep in the soil and space of approximately 6 inches. Press the soil over the seeds and cover with the ½-inch layer of fine mulch. Germination will usually take between 7-20 days. Sow every 3-4 weeks throughout the growing season for a constant supply of leaves. Coriander requires regular and steady watering. Ensure that the soil never dries out.

Thin the young plants to create at least 8 inchesbetween them to allow them to grow to their full size. Remove the flowers once they appear to encourage the growth of new leaves.

To grow indoors, sow around 5 seeds in a pot with diameter of 10-inch and at least 10-inches deep, filled with a good multi-purpose compost. Scatter seeds on the surface and cover lightly. Water well after planting.
