Illinois-based food giant Kraft Foods, Incorporated has come up with a new peanut product for the Planters label. The new product is a creamy and crunchy peanut butter that aims to appeal to kids and adults alike.
Planters has always been an iconic brand when it comes to peanut products. In the years that the brand has been in existence in the market, it has always been popular with adult consumers. With the introduction of this new creamy and crunchy peanut butter, the brand aims to attract kids as well.
Although Planters had a peanut butter product during the 1950s, it was at a time when the brand was not yet owned by Kraft Foods. The old Planters peanut butter was discontinued in 1980.
This new peanut butter from Planters claims to be a dense source of energy and nutrients. Peanut, being a plant-based protein, provides at least 10 percent (and even more) of the daily recommended value for seven of the most important nutrients, including vitamin E and magnesium. The percentage of nutrients can be obtained by consuming a serving, or two tablespoons, of Planters Peanut Butter everyday.
Planters also encourages adult peanut butter lovers to try and be versatile about the way they eat their peanut butter. Planters does this by offering meal recipes that include Planters peanut butter as a main ingredient. Among the recipes is “Planters Peanut Butter Dipping Sauce with Grilled Chicken Skewers.”
The new creamy and crunchy peanut butter from Planters is now available in major retail stores in the country. A 16.3-ounce jar is sold for $2.69 and a 28-ounce jar is sold for $4.29.
