Affiliated Foods Midwest, headquartered in Norfolk, Nebraska, is one of the member-owners of Topco,. The retailer’s cooperative has two other centers in Kenosha, Wisconsin and Elwood, Kansas.
The company serves the states of Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, and Oklahoma.
Established in 1931 in Plainview, Nebraska, the company was originally called General Wholesale name until 1977 when the name was changed to Affiliated Foods. Affiliated Foods is owned by 850-plus independent grocers spread across 16 states. Affiliated Foods is also a member of the Retailer Owned Food Distributors & Associates.
The company has an affiliation with IGA (Independent Grocers Alliance) supermarkets and distributes the Shurfine brands. We need a good grocery store in Greensburg Kansa. We had a tornado destroy our town on 2007. Before the tornado we had a Dillion’s store which served our needs for a small community. After the tornado Dillion’s put in a Kwik shop/ Dillion’s which has become totaly Unacceptable. We were driving through Larkin Kansas and saw your store. Please give it some consideration. Thank you!
