Pirate Brands’ Pirate’s Booty Launches Limited Edition Variety

New York-based Pirate Brands, recently launched a limited edition variety of Pirate’s Booty baked rice and corn puffs: Aged White Cheddar Cheese flavor. This new snack food was created in collaboration with the producers of the movie Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

According to Pirate’s Booty’s Vice President for Marketing, Eric Berniker, the company is excited regarding this collaboration, as the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise symbolizes fun, adventure and humor; things that people have always loved.

The Aged White Cheddar Cheese variety has been mixed with real cheddar cheese that has been aged to perfection. Like all other Pirate’s Booty varieties, this new addition has been baked and is made from rice meal and corn, making it a gluten-free snack that everyone can enjoy. It is also free from trans fats, as the oils used in baking the product are not injected with hydrogen. Every serving of this snack food contains 130 calories, plus it has 50% less fat as compared to regular snack foods. Every serving contains 140 milligrams of sodium and 2 grams of protein.

As part of the snack food’s promotion, Pirate’s Booty gave one lucky family a Caribbean vacation in Dominican Republic’s Casa De Ocampo. The company will also make a donation of a $100,000 to Boys and Girls Clubs of America for all packages sold. This is the company’s way of helping kids reach their potential and become productive, responsible and caring individuals.

Other existing varieties of this snack food include Sea Salt and Vinegar, Barbeque, Sour Cream and Onion, New York Pizza, Chocolate, and Veggie.
