vidalia_sweet_onion_petalsPhoenix, AZ based Inventure Foods and Glenville, GA based Vidalia brands have partnered to produce Vidalia Sweet Onion Petals, the first of what they hope will be many in new line of prepackaged snacks.  Distribution will focus on vending, grocery, and convenience stores.  The baked snack is an onion stick made with real sweet Vidalia onion puree and contains 130 calories per serving, with zero trans fats.

In a statement, Inventure’s senior vice president of marketing Steve Sklar said “”We have a successful track record of taking consumer brands into the prepackaged, ready-to-eat space.”  Added Sklar, “With Vidalia Brands, we are combining powerful brand recognition with the latest in snack trends to introduce a product line that will certainly taste great, but will also feel immediately familiar to consumers.”  Inventure Foods is a specialty food manufacturer and Vidalia brand is the latest addition to its portfolio of brands which includes Nathan’s Famous, Jamba, and TGI Fridays.
